When you think of Ibiza, you probably think of parties, drinking, and music festivals.

But did you know this beautiful Balearic island in Spain also has a secret hippie side that oozes spirituality and pristine nature?

That’s right! Beyond Ibiza’s wild party scene lies a tranquil haven of turquoise waters, sandy coves, and lush pine forests perfect for relaxation, yoga, meditation and wellness retreats.

Because of this (and its proximity to Europe and the UK), yoga in Ibiza is now more popular than ever. So, if you dream of finding rejuvenation and inner peace among the sun, sea, and sand, an Ibiza yoga retreat might be the answer.

To help you plan your wellness holiday, I’m going to share my list of the best yoga retreats in Ibiza for 2025, with options for all budgets and styles.

The Best Areas for Yoga in Ibiza

Typically, San Antonio and the south of Ibiza is the party region, so most people going on yoga and meditation retreats in Ibiza avoid this area.

Luckily, though, the rest of the island offers peaceful, authentic vibes, perfect for practicing yoga while reconnecting to yourself and nature.

Here’s some of the best places for yoga and wellness retreats in Ibiza (or Eivissa as the locals call it):

East Coast:

The east coast of Ibiza is where you’ll find the capital, Ibiza Town, that offers history and nightlife. The old quarter, Dalt Vila, that overlooks the harbor is a UNESCO world heritage site and worth a visit. You can also hop on a boat and take a day trip to the small neighboring island of Formentera

The east is also spectacular in terms of scenery with plenty of quiet spots. There are some incredible undeveloped bays and coves ideal for swimming and exploring and colorful hippie markets.

The east coast is also home to relaxed beachfront towns like Santa Eulària des Riu where you’ll find several upscale resorts and spas, so I recommend this area if you are looking for a luxury yoga and fitness retreat.

North Ibiza:

The north of Ibiza is very popular for wellness retreats. The beaches are beautiful, and the small towns and villages retain a more authentic and traditional Ibizan character.

Retreats in the north are not only peaceful but also allow you to experience the traditional daily life of this Spanish island. The liveliest nightlife in the north is the sunset drum circles on Bennaris Beach.

South & West Ibiza:

The west of Ibiza is mainly known for San Antonio, the second-most populated town and a popular party zone home to the famous super clubs. However, there are still many tranquil towns and villages, such as San José and Santa Agnes, which feel a world away from San Antonio’s bustling streets.

In the south you’ll also find Es Vedra, a unique rock formation in the Mediterranean sea considered to be the most spiritual place in Ibiza. Cala d’Hort offers the best views and many retreats hold ceremonies with views of the rock.

Ibiza has many beautiful yoga centers around the island, all offering different experiences. The easiest way to see all of them in one place is on websites like bookretreats and bookyogaretreats. These websites show you options for all locations, budgets, yoga styles and experience levels. Plus you can read verified reviews from previous guests for a better understanding of what to expect.

To save you from searching through the dozens of retreats on offer, here’s my list of the top 10 best yoga retreats in Ibiza, based on review scores, community recommendations and my personal experience.

Tips for Planning Your Trip to Ibiza

Here’s some important things to consider while planning your yoga trip to Ibiza:

When to go

The ideal time of year to visit Ibiza for yoga is either spring (Mar-May) or early fall (Sept-Oct).

The Mediterranean climate offers warm summers which are ideal for beach holidays, and mild winters which make for a great respite from colder northern climes.

Summer (Jun-Sept) is the peak tourist season when the island is packed with clubbers and package holiday makers. Prices can be up to twice as high at this time of year, and you’ll need to book well in advance.

Traveling to Ibiza

Ibiza has one main international airport, Aeroport d’Eivissa (IBZ), located in the south of the island near to Ibiza Town with direct flights to the UK and other European destinations. If you’re traveling from further afield you may need to connect in Madrid or Barcelona.

Ferries from mainland Spain to Ibiza take about 6 hours and run several times a day, with the most popular embarkation points being Barcelona and Valencia.

Buses, taxis and car hire are available at the airport. Buses travel to the main towns on the island, although to reach remote rural areas in the north you may need to rent a car. Check with the retreat organiser if they provide airport transfers.

Most nationalities don’t need a visa to visit Ibiza for up to 90 days, but always check the requirements before you travel and make sure you get travel insurance that covers all the activities you plan to do.

Final Thoughts

Ibiza has so much more to offer than just nightlife and super yachts, which is why yoga in Ibiza is become so popular these days.

Away from San Antonio you’ll find a beautiful island with blissful turquoise waters, a rugged interior peppered with authentic villages, and a relaxing vibe.

Ibiza is a spiritual hotspot with a very special unique energy that makes it perfect for fitness, wellness, yoga, meditation and spiritual retreats. Whether you come to worship Gaia, Shiva, the DJ, or yourself, you’ll find it easy to lose yourself in the healing energy that this beautiful Balearic island exudes.

Happy yoga travels. Namaste x
