Planning Your Trip To Mallorca

Here’s my top tips to think about before booking your Mallorca yoga retreat:

When to go

The best seasons to visit Mallorca for yoga are spring (Mar-May) and early fall (Sept-Oct). The Mediterranean climate offers comfortable temperatures in the low-mid 20℃ range and some light cloud cover. Perfect for physical and outdoor activities.

Summer (Jun-Sept) is the main tourism season and the island can get busy with holiday makers. Temperatures can easily hit 30℃, with non-stop sunshine throughout the day, making it a great time for beach lovers. Prices can double at this time of year, so book well in advance if these are your preferred months.

Traveling to Mallorca

Most nationalities don’t need a visa to visit Mallorca for a short holiday. But always check the requirements before you travel and make sure you get insurance that covers all your planned activities.

Mallorca has one international airport, Palma de Mallorca (PMI), close to Palma town with direct flights from the UK and other European destinations. If you’re visiting from further away you might need to connect in either Barcelona or Madrid enroute.

Ferries from mainland Spain to Mallorca run several times a day, with the most popular ports of origin being Barcelona and Valencia.

Buses, taxis and car hire are all offered at the airport. Buses visit the main towns and villages, but to reach remote areas you may need to rent a car or taxi. Check with the retreat organiser if they provide airport transfers.
